"My pieces are inspired by birds, flowers, and other sources of beauty.
In a busy world, I am still fascinated by planting a simple seed, watering it, and caring for it, until it blooms.
A seed, like a dream or an idea, needs to be cared for --
that takes much work and understanding --
to see them grow and become actual and tangible --
from the imagination and inspiration.
This is why I enjoy working in clay --
because of the ability to build from the unseen --
but felt --
ideas and to watch them grow into beautiful and useful things.
Each piece is a simple statement of something or someone I have known, seen, felt, or wondered about."
